Suspension chairs tend to break in reliably similar ways- the textile is (usually) not strong enough to support bodies over a multiple decades, and rip at tension spots. After months of unsuccessfully looking for the perfect weight and finish we gave up and custom dyed a heavy 21oz double weave canvas in a deep indigo tone.

The original pattern accommodates the ‘elbows’ of the frame with a simple H cut- we reinforced these areas with a double facing to ensure strength and longevity.
